Thoughts of the season by coach Jamie

Coach Jamie is the U12's & U15's coach and we are extremely happy for having him with the Regent's Park FC coaching family. We are pleased to share his words and thoughts on this season.

Season 3 with the U15s and my first season with the U12s. The team environment of the U15 Knights was much improved with a supportive and inclusive feel amongst our team, the same was beginning to take shape with our U12 Rebels also.

The connections being built was important for both groups development throughout a fragmented season for all, but this camaraderie shone through in later parts of the season after numerous returns from lockdowns.

I am extremely proud of both teams for facing immensely difficult challenges and adapting in the most positive way possible by immersing ourselves in productive learning during training sessions and using our initiative and competitive desire in league matches.

Seeing our boys grow wiser in these difficult times gives me a strong sense of pride and belief that the platform our club/family provides is a strong foundation not only in a football context but also in the growth of their personality to face challenges and do our utmost to overcome them.

Coaching these groups with a predominant focus on psychological aspects to improve their decision making and cognitive abilities has grown the level of trust between myself to the boys and hopefully from their perspective too!

We as a collective are much stronger than any 1 individual component and that is the lesson we continue to learn and evolve upon each and every day.

Next seasons aims and objectives are exciting to try to achieve, these goals give us a purpose and direction with how we want to develop together.
