This is the 4th season of Coach Nikos with us. It has been a pleasure to count on him, his knowledge and his commitment. Now that the season is reaching an end he will leave us with his overall report of the season. 

This season was my fourth year with the boys. We have created a fantastic environment with the team. The group has very good chemistry. I coach this team since U15s and next season we will play in U18's league. 

My biggest reward as a coach is that I see these young men develop day by day both as persons and as footballers. It is very satisfying to see them become more mature and more experienced through the seasons. This season, we had a very promising start as we were unbeaten the first five games. 

However, the lockdowns affected us, as everyone else too. When the league restarted, it took us a couple of weeks to find our steps on the pitch. Of course, it is only natural, as the break was very long. We were still chasing the league three games before the end, but unfortunately, several injuries made it very difficult for us to win the league. However, that is fine as I believe it made us even more motivated and determined for next season. 

As a coach, I always focus a lot on the psychological part. Considering this situation with covid-19 and all the lockdowns I focused on the psychological part, even more, this season. It was a very challenging period for everyone. That is why my priority, as always, was to create a supportive and engaging environment for all the players. During this difficult situation supporting each other and staying together as a team are the most important things. 

Above all I tried to support the boys, show understanding and help them find their confidence again. I wanted them to feel that I am here with them facing the same challenges. In situations like that, we must let our players know that we believe in them and trust them. That was my priority. That for all my players, whatever they need I am here for them. 

Every challenge that you are dealing with makes you better, stronger and more mature. That is the mentality that I try to create with my team. I want them to understand that challenges do not hold us back. On the opposite, they drive us to rise and develop. 

As long as we stay together, we can deal with everything, it does not matter how hard it is. Sooner or later, every storm will pass!

Looking to the future, everyone in the team is very excited for next season. We have set our aims and goals altogether. 

We are more motivated and determined than ever!
