Hendon Youth 2 - 3 Regents U18s

''We started with an early goal from a corner. We were much better than our opponent but we looked a little bit stressed and kind of exhausted after the first 20 minutes. I think that stress is my mistake as I keep pushing my boys telling them that we have great expectations and the aim for us is to win the league. We conceded one goal 10 minutes before the end of the first half. So 1-1 so far.

In the half time, I told them that there is only one real team with a plan in the pitch and that is us. And that was the truth the opponents had just some really good individuals and they were crossing well that was all. I asked my players to relax a little bit and get that nervousness out of them. And that was it. 

Second half an amazing performance. We dominated so much that there were parts that we made more than 20 passes before we create a chance. The opponent made the mistake to not press us but my back 5 (including the GK) they are very comfortable with the ball. As a result, we scored 2 more beautiful goals from quick combinations. Hopefully, I will have a video with them in the upcoming days. So 3-1 up. 

After that focused on keeping the possession of the ball and manage the game. We conceded an own goal. One of my defenders tried to kick away a coming long ball and he sends it at the back of our net. Except that we dominated totally with keeping the possession patiently in the start zone.
