This last Tuesday the U13's Rebels just presented the best football we ever have seen from them in a match that stunned everyone that was watching at market road. Get the match report from one of the U13's parents.
''The game last night against Essex Road Giants was an extremely exciting and challenging match. The U13 Regent’s Park Market Rd team responded magnificently in extremely wet and demanding conditions.
Jules made some excellent saves in the first 10 minutes against very strong opposition. After gaining an insight into the strength of Essex Road Giants, Regent’s slowly began to assert themselves. This pressure resulted in a very well taken the first goal from Louis. The rest of the first-half remained tight. Max, Alex and Ollie controlled the defence in imperious fashion.
Regent’s began the second-half well and soon went 2-0 up with a fine finish from Oscar at the corner. An attempted chip by Louis led to the keeper being sent off for deliberate handball outside his area. The boys seized their chance and added a third through the constant threat of Gabriel. James continued to tackle with gusto in midfield and the defence looked controlled and dominant. Shortly before the final whistle, an impressive move led to Gabriel’s second goal. 4-0. Wonderfully deserved.''
