The U13's Spartans are off to a fabulous start at Camden & Islington Youth Football League. Last Monday they returned to Market Road for the third game of the season and they secured another win.

The U13's Spartans are off to a fabulous start at Camden & Islington Youth Football League. Last Monday they returned to Market Road for the third game of the season and they secured another win. We will leave you with the words of  the Head Coach behind this successful beginning. 

Head Coach Nikos words:

‘Against Fusion we didn’t have a good start. We conceded a very early goal as we were too relaxed and not focused. It took us about 10 to 15 minutes to get in the game. Then we started having the possession of the ball, dominating in all three zones off the pitch and producing chances. 

We scored 2 goals till the end of the first half. In the second half after our tactical discussion the team went back on the pitch with a lot more energy and concentration. We pressed high and we didn’t allow the opponents to breath. Every time they were trying to get out of their start zone we pressed and won the ball back. Every time they went long we were first on the ball. Every time an opponent tried to turn there was one of us making him pass back. 

As a result we created many chances and we scored 3 more goals. Last minutes we relaxed a little bit and as a result we conceded one goal. Final score 5-2 to us.’
